PRETTY PENDANTS WITH PRETTY RIBBON

I made these pendants to match the pretty ribbon. I think they look great together. I was trying to make reasonable priced pendants for a show. I didn't cut the ribbon yet I would like to get 2 pendants with one ribbon. Going to our local bead store to see what clasps would work with ribbon. If anyone in blog land know of good clasps for cord and ribbon I would love to hear from you.
The bracelet was made with silk cord and chain and a lot of wire wrapped beads in pinks and purples. There are some hearts from Chinook Jewelry. I love how this bracelet looks and feels on your wrist.

  1. Awesome pendants! Most of the time, I just tie the ribbon in a bow. But wire-wrapping the ends to any clasp works, too :)

  2. I have some clasps that are made just for ribbons - I want to say they are called ribbon clasps. They work very well. Look them up on fusion beads, I think! Or artbeads. The pendants are very pretty!

  3. You can always tie knots or wire wrap with wire, but my favorites are cord ends and ribbon ends. Cord ends are sort of like a larger, thicker tube crimp bead and they usually have a hook on one side and a loop on the other. You stick the ribbon or cord inside the tube part and squish it flat with pliers (sometimes I add a dab of glue for extra security) and you're done. Ribbon ends look like flat clamps - you put the end of the ribbon between the sides of the clamp and press them flat. You can also make a wrapped loop out of wire, but leave a straight stem, knot your ribbon onto the loop and then string a cone over the whole thing so the wire stem sticks up out of the small end of the cone. String a bead and then make a wrapped loop. Doe the same on the other side, then attach any kind of clasp to either side. Hope this helps!
