Help

My blog is Purple. I have been trying to change my design for a while now and I forgot how to do everything. I can't find the layout? Putting pictures on my blog seem to be different too. I can't believe everything has changed in the few months I have been gone. I am trying so don't give up on me.

Pink Ribbon Bracelets

When do you feel like a Survivor?

Its be an long time posting. I have finished 7 months of chemo for Breast Cancer. I have a month off then 6 weeks of Radiation every day. I am making beads for bracelets to sell at the Relay for life. All the proceeds will go to The American Cancer Society. I will give you a peek. If you would like one drop me an email. I made a necklace  out of a glass rod and bent into ribbon that one is for me to wear. I tried to make more but out of ten I made only one looks like the ribbon. Plus working with tweezers it was an accident waiting to happen. The Relay starts July 18 11:00 to July 19 11:00. If you would like to donate money Go to the Relay for Life of Pacifica my team name is Partners For Life. We all are camping,  someone in our team we be walking the 24 hours.
I feel good, the chemo wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Don't get me wrong it wasn't a walk in the park but doable. Just a hurdle to get over. I am having a hard time with being called a survivor. I am not finished with treatment  yet. I went to New York for a wedding and when I came home my loving husband got a tatoo of pink awarness ribbon and my name on his arm. This is his first tatoo. All I saw was 1952-2010 in my head. So I was less then pleased. Everyone loves it and what an honer that he did that. When do you feel in your heart that you are truly a survivor?
Sorry got a little off track. Making new designs and beads when I can. We planted the garden yesterday. Not a full garden as we will not be here. I will keep you posted with pictures. Hope all are having a great summer.

RECYCLE CHANDLER GLASS

A friend gave me about 100 lbs of this glass. I have not tried to work it with other glass because I don't know the if it's 96 coe or 104 coe or 90. Its very easy to use. The pictures look like there are bubbles but it's the light. I wish I could take better pictures. Crystal shapes are fun to add to designs. What other shape would be good with clear glass?

I just love this book. The colored wire wrapped beads are so cool to make and adds interest to any piece that you make. I made this necklace for my Granddaughters birthday party.

Rainforest

I drove into San Francisco yesterday to see if I could get some beads to match my gorgeous beads from Doreen. ( BackyardBeads) I found a strand of Tagua Nut beads in many bright colors. Deep in the Amazon Rainforest grows a special tree, the Tagua or Ivory Palm. Tagua nut has been used to make buttons, jewelry and carved objects since the 19th century. I love the colors and how this bracelet turned out.
The necklace is made with vintage seed beads and coral and jade and a tube bead from Doreen.

I AM ONE LUCKY GIRL

Came home last night to find a package from my blog buddy Doreen of Backyardbeads. These beads are amazing. She needs to share these with the world of Etsy. I can't wait to make gorgeous jewelry out of them. Going to make some glass beads to go with them. Will share after I play with them a little longer. They came in this cute box with a metal leaf. A very nice card too. I am one lucky girl. Thank-you Doreen

IT WAS A GREAT TWO WEEKS

We leave for the Bay Area tomorrow. I had a great two weeks that went by way to fast. Got a lot of beads made one day but don't have the energy to put them up on etsy. Hope to get back soon with more designs. I am getting into street show in march hope I feel as good as I did with the first treatment of Chemo. I will read all your blogs I just can't comment on any. I will be back soon.

LAMPWORKER'S MUST HAVE TOOL

HOLD-ME-TIGHT ROD HOLDER from grace@gracefulcustoms.com
This is the greatest tool. Sue remember talking about what to do with small pieces of rods this tool is for you or any other lampworker that reads my blog.
It has a curved saddle so picking up the round glass rods is a breeze. I could work out of my box of shorts for a very long time. Maybe one day just use shorts for a day of beading. Lots of colorful beads will be made.
