My Granddaughter was up for the week-end. We made home made ravioli's and sauce.

Work,Work,Work

I have been so busy making beads for this show I have not put one thing on Etsy. Etsy changed in my absents. My goal today is 5 sets of beads for the show, clean 34 beads and make mixed sets. Earring cards or loose on a frame? Try to get a few set on etsy this week. My granddaughter is coming for the week-end so that will be fun. I will leave you with a picture of the goodies from the garden.

To be a better blogger......
I am torching every day, cleaning beads, sorting. Arranging the 8 feet booth in Christmas theme has its challenge's. I am bring mostly beads some earrings and bracelets and I think I have two necklaces. I might take a picture and you can let me know if I am on the right track. So now you see why I have not been blogging or taking pictures of the garden. It's been so hot here!!!!!! Should cool down next week.

Bead Soup Blog Hop!

Lori Anderson's 6th annual Bead Soup Blog Hop!  Lori outdid her self this year with 400 bead hopper's Thank-you for this great opportunity again to meet new designers.

    My bead partner Miranda Ackerley sent me a lot of beads and goodies. I made four designs and didn't put a dent in all the beads Miranda sent. They will speak to me at another  time. Miranda has a fun blog you can visit.

 The vintage button is so pretty in this piece.

 My lampwork bead and clasp matched so nicely with the turquoise sticks.

Miranda made the beautiful enamel pendant. It's pretty on both sides.

Have you heard of the Art Bead Love Tour?   DRAWING SEPT 1

The Art Bead Love Tour is an ongoing project to spread the love of handmade to new and exciting places.  It's a way to reach people who may have never stumbled upon your blog on their own, and give them a chance to share the love of handmade.  A chain was chosen to link beads as a symbol of how this project links us all together~in our unity to stand behind handmade.

Here is how the chain looked when I got it:

It is so important that the quality of the beads be maintained, so we can keep the Art Bead Love Tour alive.  We want to share consistent quality with the next winner.  If you make your own handmade beads or components, it's a great way to get your beads into the world for people to try them out, or, if you hoard collect art beads it's a great way to share your collection and get some new additions as well.

(Art Beads should be handmade by an artist, and not mass produced, such as Hill Tribe Silver beads or others like them.)

Remember, the focus is on creating handmade with handmade and beads/components taken should be replaced with beads/components that are made by an indivdual artist not an organization.

2. The winner will post pictures of what was taken and what was added, in order to keep an account of the chains progress and to keep our followers drooling.  Please be sure to give credit to the bead artists as well (if you know them). 

3. The winner will then have a giveaway, just like this one,to keep passing the chain on and on.  Rules can be copied and pasted from here.

4. When you repost your giveaway (remember you can copy and paste from here)-a list should be added to show where the chain has gone, with links to each previous blog.Ultimately, this will end up a very long list!

5. Chain must be shipped to its new home via Priority Small Flat Rate box with delivery confirmation. Please package it carefully.

6. There will be a button on the Love My Art Jewelry website that links to the current blog and giveaway-so if you have the chain, it will link to your blog, that way our followers can have another chance to win it.

A while back I had a swap with Keri Lee Sereika. I gave her some of my Lampwork beads and she outdid her self with beautiful handmade cards and a large leaf in the folded copper metal. She has a store on Luulla. Well it's not up and running yet but will be soon.

Flower wall and Door to no where

We just made the new flower wall next to our patio and planted some grass this year. We had a section of fencing left over and we put it to good use. We have lots of deer so we plant what they don't like to eat. Sometimes they will eat anything if they are hungry. So no pretty flowers. The silver pot has poppies growing with some of my glass poppies plant sticks for color and the deer don't eat. Do you see in the back my lime green door to no where. I love it. The garden needs some weeding!!! but with the weather in the 90s not going to happen. The garden is a slow grow this year. We had to many cold nights. Enjoy your Saturday

My Bead Soup

Miranda Ackerley is my Bead Soup partner and she send a boat load of goodies. Love the aqua color of the ceramic tab beads. There is copper beads,crystals,pearls,buttons,enameled components,Vintage lucite and liquid copper and don't forget the dolphins. Lots of idea's need to make a few lampwork to go with my soup. Miranda has a new blog with fun craft ideas, Jewelry and classes.

FotoFuze

New beads using the FotoFuze to highlight the beads with a white back ground. I like it! Need to take the pictures with out shadows. Going to try indoor light and see what happens. It's so hot to be taking pictures outside.

Black and White

Dale made this gorgeous bracelet using my clasp and bead. She saw my bracelet in the Bead Trend Magazine and loved the clasp. She makes jewelry for her own personal use. I love the tear drop beads in the design.
